Attachment: The Detriment of the Moment

Life Should Only Be Exactly What It Is

Everything that we see, is. It exists. It’s existing.

When a word is muttered, it is muttered. It created a moment that now exists. And in this moment, more this’s and that’s appear at rapid speed. All existing.

It is wondrous and magical the way that life works this way. That we create moments and make things happen with words and actions or by reacting to the words and actions of others.

We are given options of how to handle life. We can do everything in our power to control the moment, we can worry about what will happen afterward, or we can sit back and watch it all unfold whilst doing only our best as we go.

As I grow and evolve as a human being on this planet living this life, I learn more and more about attachment to feelings and our predetermined judgement of the moment.

The way I see it, many of us are attached to feelings. We decide whether something is good or bad, beautiful or ugly, fun or boring. We basically make a decision, or an agreement with our self, that something is a certain way.

Attachment to our programmed agreements is detrimental to the Moment of Now. We cannot appreciate the view that is right in front of it because we have trained ourselves to judge what sort of view it is, or if it is good enough or if there might be more to see. We immediately and unintentionally forget that the view in front of us is the only view that there is.

Anything aside from what we are seeing now only exists in the mind. The only reality is the reality we are living and see right now.

Therefore, attaching ourselves to prejudice of whether this moment is good enough actually takes away from it and essentially destroys our reality. It lessens the magic of this moment that we created with our own words and actions and thoughts.

In order to truly learn from and enjoy our lives, our realities, it would seem as though our only option is to let go of preconceived ideas of what it should be and embrace what it is.
